Our Shining Beautiful Community Glimmers this Holiday Season

While we love our words on Shining Beautiful, it is difficult to string them together in such a way as to capture the camera sees and what are hearts feel during the holiday season.

Each year, we have two major events, a holiday party and Mikelle’s birthday party. These celebrations not only connect Mikelle to her past roommates and friends, they serve p a plate of hearty love and as the bonds of friendship strengthen as we rejoice in genuine adoration of each other.

A Mikelle Sandwich! Taylor, aka former roommate and “sista” Taylor Mason and long time friend for high school Jerome Stewart. Taylor says. “Mikelle creates a family for us just by being herself and bringing all her friends together.”

We revel in the big gestures of friendship and appreciate the small things the decorate the tree of friends. Cups of coffee shared, gentle teasing, boxes of laughter spilling out with giggles.
We cherish how our group of friends cheer for each person’s accomplishments, hugs away discouragement and gentle wipes away tears of frustration and sadness.
We acknowledge the mystery of accidental connections become permanent friendships. For us, our wonderful friends are the star at the top of our Christmas tree—shining beautiful

Ashley Ryder is our newest member of the SB Community. She just retired from the US Coast Guard and in pursuing her Masters.

Each year, we have two major events, a holiday gathering and Mikelle’s birthday party.  These celebrations, not only connect Mikelle to her past roommates and friends, they serve up a hearty dish of  love and with each bite, we are nourished.
