When you are at your weakest, be it emotionally or physically, and you need some support, that is when you find who is there for you. Friends, family and loved ones, all gather around when your time of need comes. They bring with them love and support, cards and treats, shoulders to cry on and ears to listen. It can be daunting to take on life’s challenges, but it is comforting to know you aren’t alone.
Mikelle is the kind of friend you need on life’s rainy days. No one loves to be supportive and loving more than Mikelle. She is always ready with a smile and a hug. She will listen to your troubles, laugh with you, or cry with you. We’ve had recent cause to see this side of Mikelle, and we are all the more grateful for her in our lives.
Our dear friend Lauren has been going through a troubling time lately. We are so glad that we have been able to support her as she has encouraged Mikelle for many years. It isn’t always the big gestures that mean the most either. Mikelle’s forte lies in the little things. By baking a tray of extra chocolate-y brownies and picking out one of the many bracelets she makes she was able to cheer her pal Lauren up.
When grandma got sick a week ago and had to go back to the hospital for another surgery Mikelle was prepared with a get well soon card, a small box of chocolates, and a bracelet. When Taylor’s dad had heart surgery several years ago, and Taylor ended up getting a concussion within the same week, Mikelle was there to hug her and watch over her until both she and her dad were in better health.
No one gives hugs as good as MIkelle, and plenty of her friends will attest to that! She also has infectious laughter. If Mikelle is laughing, then the chances are good that you’re laughing too.
We all tend to get caught up in our day to day lives, but when the poo hits the proverbial fan, it is so beautiful to know that Mikelle is always there to cheer us up. We at the Shining Beautiful house hope that you all have someone in your lives as delightful, loving, and supporting as Mikelle.
