For years, now, I have been focused on how the availability of appropriate technology and its use by people with disabilities can impact the lives of those individuals. It has become increasing clear over time that gaining access to universal and assistive technology for individuals with disabilities is essential and critical in supporting their lives, work and contributions.
With this in mind, several like-minded families have come together to create the first “Families at the Forefront of Technology” conference. This very special and compelling event, focusing on inclusion in the 21st Century, will be held this October. It is powered by moms and supported by communities, and will be a game-changer for many people with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
Ask yourself: How would you like to influence technology’s development for your family? If you have a disability or provide services for those who do, what would be your suggestions for developing new apps? How will including people with disabilities make business great?
